Our client, an award winning game studio is looking for a Junior QA Tester to join their team on a 6 month basis.  Ideal candidates will have an enthusiasm for playing video games and an overall passion for the video game industry.  The pay rate is between $20.00 - $25.00 per hour.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

• Execute written test cases for features and content in development
• Collaborate with other team members to write and expand upon existing test cases
• Work with developers across all disciplines to ensure full test coverage on new features and content
• Develop a deep understanding of current and future game content
• Enter and escalate bugs clearly and effectively
• Verify bug fixes in a timely manner
• Provide qualitative feedback
• Help maintain feature and test documentation
• Identify areas for test efficiency improvements through cheats/tools
• Monitor, reproduce, and create bugs for incoming player reports

QUALIFICATIONS:
 

• An understanding of QA’s role in the development lifecycle
• Great written and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong critical thinking skills and a love for puzzle-solving
• Highly organized, autonomous, and self-driven
• Bonus: Familiarity with Jira, Asana, Testrail
• Bonus: Experience with black box and grey box testing
• Bonus: Familiarity with Unity
• Bonus: ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level or equivalent

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
 

• May be tasked with lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 25 lbs., if able to do so.
• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for moderate periods of time.
• Must be able to bend at the knees and waist frequently
• Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and a computer mouse and keyboard.
