Real Estate Lending Processor

Livermore, CA
Our client, a banking institution in Livermore, is looking for a talented Real Estate Lending Processor to join their team on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis.  Successful candidates will have experience processing, collecting and completing loan conditions and providing resulting credit decisions and loan pricing information to members.  This role is 100% onsite in Livermore, CA.  The pay is $22–$33/hr depending in experience AND is based on how closely your skills match the job requirements. Most candidates are offered within the range, not automatically at the top.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Handle inbound and outbound mortgage loan-related calls from members, internal staff, and third-party vendors (e.g., appraisal and title companies).
  • Respond courteously and effectively to inquiries from members, co-workers, and vendors.
  • Support members and internal teams including the call center, branches, and real estate lending staff by:
    • Answering mortgage lending questions.
    • Discussing financial details, credit data, and financing goals.
    • Recommending mortgage products and pricing that align with member needs.
    • Evaluating loan applications and supporting documentation (e.g., credit reports, appraisals, title reports) and delivering timely credit decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments and branches to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the bank’s mortgage loan products and services.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state laws, as well as banking regulations.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree in a business-related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Real Estate Processor or in a similar mortgage lending role required.
  • Proficiency in Calyx Point or similar mortgage loan origination software is required.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • May be tasked with lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 25 lbs., if able to do so.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for moderate periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend at the knees and waist frequently
  • Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and a computer mouse and keyboard.


All employment is contingent on candidates providing at least two positive professional references from prior managers.
