Business Analyst - Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

San Francisco, Los Angeles - Century City, CA
Our client, a large global law firm, is seeking a full-time, direct hire DEI Business Analyst based in either the San Francisco or Los Angeles (Century City) office. This hybrid role requires in-office presence as needed. The salary range is $89,000 – 131,500 (Annually + Full Benefits).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyze data from multiple sources to uncover key insights, trends, and patterns supporting the firm’s DEI initiatives.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of data through detailed reconciliation and audit processes.
  • Create clear, visually engaging reports and dashboards using tools such as Excel, Tableau, or similar platforms to present complex data effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline data-related workflows and implement process improvements to increase team efficiency.
  • Draft detailed responses to external industry surveys regarding the firm’s DEI policies, practices, and outcomes.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple data requests, ensuring timely and accurate delivery that meets stakeholder needs.
  • Act as a liaison between the DEI team and internal departments to gather requirements, define project objectives, and scope requests.
  • Track and monitor the progress of DEI-related projects, adjusting timelines and deliverables as necessary to ensure success.
  • Utilize the firm’s project management tools to document, organize, and report on DEI initiatives and requests.
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and outcomes to team leadership, escalating critical issues or roadblocks when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; additional coursework or certification in data analytics or data science is a plus.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in data analytics and reporting.
  • Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong working knowledge of Excel and SQL.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while effectively prioritizing tasks and managing competing deadlines.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and accountability.
  • Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset are highly desired.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • May be tasked with lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 25 lbs., if able to do so.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for moderate periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend at the knees and waist frequently
  • Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and a computer mouse and keyboard.
