Our client, a large multinational full-service law firm, is seeking a Business Development Coordinator for a direct hire opportunity based in the firm’s San Francisco (Financial District), Palo Alto, or Los Angeles (Century City) office. The Business Development Coordinator will work collaboratively with, and report directly to, the West Coast and California Business Development Managers. This role supports the implementation and execution of business development initiatives focused on client development, marketing, and new business generation. This is a hybrid position with in-office presence as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Draft and execute client pitches and RFP responses in collaboration with partners, associates, and client teams as needed.
Support the development and implementation of marketing and business development plans, industry group strategies, and firmwide initiatives to advance business objectives.
Maintain and update practice group experience summaries and representative matters for use in proposals, website content, directory submissions, and other marketing materials.
Coordinate with the firmwide events team to organize and execute client-facing events such as webinars, roundtables, CLEs, and more—managing the full event lifecycle from planning to post-event follow-up.
Coordinate attorney participation in conferences, seminars, sponsorships, and speaking or writing engagements, ensuring all logistics and materials are in place for successful participation.
Develop and manage client mailing lists, directories, and contact databases, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Track and monitor client development activities and outcomes using Salesforce, providing visibility into engagement efforts and ROI.
Generate regular reports on past and upcoming business development activities, including success metrics and recommendations for improvement.
Coordinate and prepare submissions for practice area rankings, directory listings, and awards, including Chambers and other industry publications.
Collaborate with the communications team to develop marketing content such as client alerts, newsletters, website updates, brochures, and other print or digital thought leadership materials.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
Prior experience in marketing or business development within a professional services environment is highly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems, Adobe Creative Suite, and expense management platforms is a plus.
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
Demonstrates strong leadership qualities and a proactive, team-oriented approach to collaboration and problem-solving.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
May be tasked with lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 25 lbs., if able to do so.
Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for moderate periods of time.
Must be able to bend at the knees and waist frequently
Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and a computer mouse and keyboard.
